Advanced Studio Fall Semester
ART YARD Advanced Studio participants will work with Director Meridith McNeal, Managing Director Dennis Buonagura and a changing roster of ART YARD Teaching Artists/College Professors including Claudia Alvarez, Flavia Berindoague, Jane Huntington, Reg Lewis, Glendalys Medina, Ed Rath, Marie Roberts and Rachael Wren to create artwork in this college level studio art course. We will develop skills in drawing and painting, with possible forays into other contemporary art practices. 2020-2021 is the ART YARD Year of Community, this theme will serve as a springboard for lesson content. Integral to classes is a critiquing process that is key to developing self-expression, confidence, and public speaking skills; participants actively engage in review, informed exchange, and thoughtful comments about the work of the day.
ART YARD Advanced Studio Fall 2020 will be held on Zoom
Mondays from 5:30-7:30pm
September 14, 21, 28; October 5, 12, 19, 26
November 2, 9, 16, 23; December 7, 14
Participating artists are expected to be on time, make themselves visible during instruction & critique but not during art making, actively participate in breakout group discussions and critique and email photographs of their work to Meridith after class.
The program is free of charge. However, if you would like to make a donation to ART YARD you can do so through the PayPal Donate button at the bottom of this page or by sending a check to:
