Here is a pastel drawing of a summer sky that I saw last year ( I finished this a couple of days ago). I used the same pastels that candy gave us.

Kevin, that’s a really nice piece. I love your handling of the pastel! I expect it was a relaxing image to focus on. I can see why you’d go back to it now.
I decided to try a trick while drawing a glass prism. I tried to make the illussion that glass is transparent, but not drawing the top half of the structure
I paint images of glass and reflected light quite a bit. Looking at what I SEE rather than what I “know”, usually helps. Let me see if I can find some pertinent images of paintings to share....

I did this drawing a few weeks ago for my friend's birthday. Hopefully, after the quarentine ends, I will be able to give it to him in person.
