This week at MS 226 in South Ozone Park Queens Dennis, Glendalys and I installed our upcoming exhibition of student artwork. After School Art Club students had carefully prepared the lions share of the work with colorful mat board and are gearing up to gearing up for more docent training next week.
We also took the opportunity to clean and organize our supply and storage closet. Dennis wins the Marie Kondo Prize for closet organization!
We hope you will join us on March 19th from 11am-1pm for the opening reception of Metamorphosis at the ART YARD Gallery at MS 226, 121-10 Rockaway Blvd., South Ozone Park, Queens.
At PS 770 in Crown Heights teachers have reported in that our Docents have continued to give VIP tours for those who missed the opening. As expected, the Docents are receiving 5 Star Reviews!
Last night we opened Transformers at St. Joseph’s College Alumni Gallery 245 Clinton Avenue, in Clinton Hill Brooklyn. This exhibition gives us the opportunity to introduce you to the work we are doing in our own studios, which in turn inspires us in the classroom.
The beautifully catered celebration was attended by artists, friends, family, community members, St. Joseph’s College students and staff.
The exhibition is up through April 11th and there are two more public events – a gallery talk Wednesday, March 27th at 12:40pm and an Artists Talk and Dessert Saturday, April 6th from 1-3pm.
Several of us will be at St. Joseph's for the upcoming events and we would love it if you could be there too!
